Book summary

This collection of sonnets was written by well-known children's book author Jane Yolen after her husband, David Stemple, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Yolen wrote a sonnet each night in order to help herself cope with the realities of seeing her husband through his difficult radiation treatments, and the resulting verses address such issues as her fears, her hopes, and the effect of her husband's illness on their entire family.
