Title-page in black and red lettering. Third edition, so stated on the title-page. Ads in back pages XV-XXIII and pages 1-8. Binding tight and clean. Spine faded but all the gold lettering visible. Minor wear to top and bottom of spine. Contents clean, but foxed throughout. Owner�s signature on first free endpaper. 389 pages. A very nice copy of a classic.
spine : The outer portion of a book which covers the actual binding. The spine usually faces outward when a book is placed on a shelf.
