They however did have enought influence that the coal owners were not able to implement industry-wide pay cuts in the Pennsylvania coal region until the power of the Mollies was broken. G+/G- green hardcloth cover with gilt lettering on spine. Interesting reports of the squalor and poverty of life in the Pennylvania Appalachians in the 19th Century. Cover has moderate edge soiling. Page ends have slight age toning. Pages have no markings or undelining. Binding tight spine straight. Dust jacket is intact. Shows moderate yellowing, soiling, rubbing and scuffing.
