Description
Grosset & Dunlap, 1975. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. 1975 STATED FIRST PRINTING oversized hardcover with jacket protected by a Brodart jacket cover. Pages are unmarked. Jacket is significantly shelf rubbed and shows numerous tears, but is now better protected in the Brodart cover. NOT an ex-library book. Overall, this remains a good, useful First Print copy.
jacket : Sometimes used as another term for dust jacket, a protective and often decorative wrapper, usually made of paper which wraps around the binding of a book
Ex-library : A former library book, generally containing library acquisition and ownership stamped markings, and other typical indications of the library's use.
Brodart : Generally used to refer to a clear plastic cover that is sometimes added to the dustjacket or outside covering of a book. The name refers to the company by the same name which produces many book repair and archival products.
