Description

This volume contains the readings for all Sundays in Cycle A, as well as for the Solemnities that replace the Sunday.

It is not enough, says the author, to understand the Lectionary readings in their liturgical context. Knowledge of the biblical context is vitally important, especially for those involved in the RCIA and those who proclaim the Word of God. Each Sunday commentary includes three sets of discussion questions.

The author, Margaret Nutting Ralplh, has taught grade school, high school, college, graduate school, and adult education groups. For 30 years, she worked for the Covington and Lexington dioceses as adult education consultant and director of the RCIA and evangelization. For 16 years, she was secretary of educational ministries. She now directs the MA program for Catholics at Lexington Theological Seminary. Dr. Ralph is also the author of the best selling "And God Said What?" and "The Bible and the End of the World."
