THREE VOLUMES.8th/7th/6th impressions of first editions.Each volume with fold out map at end.Publishers red cloth,spines gilt.Pages clean and bright in all three volumes.No inscriptions,markings or blemishes at all.The books look unread.Original dustwrappers with Fellowship in dustwrapper stating Ninth Impression,as often found.All prices still intact.Very minor browning to spines but overall in near fine,bright condition.Housed in the rare original publishers grey leather effect slip case with printed label on one side,giving the author,titles and the publishers.All printed in red.The edges of the slipcase are a little bit rubbed and bumped but overall it is in very good condition without any splitting to the edges as is found on so many examples.Overall a near fine set in the scarce and fragile publishers slip case.Uncommon in this condition.:
