The "GBV" lists no other copy of the 1480 Radolt edition in all German libraries. Bearing that in mind, it should be noted that the 1490 edition can be found in 12 German libraries. Description, contents and further information: Rolewinck chronicle begins with the creation of the world and ends with the events of the 1470s. The last events depicted in the chronicle are the defeat of Charles I, Duke of Burgundy (Charles the Bold or Karl der Kuhne) by the joint forces of the Lorrainers and the Swiss and his death at Nancy in France. Probably the "Fasciculus temporum" edition with the most illustrations. First edition of the printer Erhard Ratdolt. In 1482, he was the first one to print Euclid's "Elements", the most successful text book of all times. Second edition printed in Italy ever. Contains 49 (!) woodcuts. Most other editions of the "Fasciculus temporum" include only between 9 and 12. The woodcuts depict, among other things, depict Noah's Arch, the Lord, our father, the Tower of Babel and several geographic views of the following places (examples): Israel and Jerusalem, Cologne, Venice, Westphalia, Saxony, Bohemia, Armenia, Egypt, Rome, Verona and Austria. Some of the woodcuts are the oldest depictions of the respective places known today. One leaf with a splendid depiction of God, with the text typographically arranged around the woodcut. More than 920 figures with the names of the reigning kings and emperors, popes and other historical personalities. Printed before Peter Schedel's famous world chronicle. From the library of the English businnesman ("Lea & Perrins") and bibliophile Charles William Dyson Perrins containing his personal Exlibris. PRINTED ONLY 25 YEARS AFTER THE GUTENBERG BIBLE !!!
