Book Description

Baltimore: Cemetery Dance [CD] Publications, 2000. First edition. Copy "AE" of 12 "Artist's Edition" copies, bound in genuine leather, with custom embossing including a raised pumpkin design on the cover, imprinted spine denoting Artist's Edition, orange and black page gilding, orange ribbon page marker, smyth-sewn with orange/yellow headbands; and signed by 45 contributors on four signature leaves. Although not so issued, this copy has also been signed by two of the illustrators [Glenn Chadbourne and Keith Minnion] on the copyright page. Somewhat oversize, 660 page volume. Besides those already listed, contributors include Elizabeth Engstrom, Rick Hautala, Steve Rasnic Tem, Gary A. Braunbeck, Thomas F. Monteleone, Hugh B. Cave, Christopher Golden, Alan M. Clark, Gahan Wilson, Paula Guran, John Shirley, Tom Piccirilli, Jack Cady, David B. Silva, William F. Nolan, Michael Cadnum, Richard Laymon, Douglas Clegg, Douglas E. Winter, Stanley Wiater, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Lewis Shiner, Yvonne Navarro, Tim Lebbon, Kim Newman, Owl Goingback, Dennis Etchison, Stephen Mark Rainey, Charles L. Grant, Kelly Laymon, Dominick Cancilla, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Michael Marshall Smith, Wayne Allen Sallee, Ramsey Campbell, Ed Gorman, Stefan Dziemianowicz, and Peter Crowther. An otherwise Fine copy marred by a manufacturing defect [that is, as received from the publisher]: the upper right corner was significantly bumped [more so at the front than the rear] resulting in softness/creasing to the cover corners and some creasing/rippling to the page corners [with publisher's descriptive promotional leaf for the book folded and laid in] [this version was not issued in Dust Wrapper] in a handmade custom traycase wrapped in an embossed orange Pellaq paper by Skivertex, with a custom embossed pumpkin design on the lid, and lined inside with black felt. [Please note that when originally issued, this item was accompanied by a separate piece of original artwork by Glenn Chadbourne. That artwork no longer accompanies this copy].. Signed. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.

Bookseller Terms of Sale

All items are offered subject to prior sale. All prices are subject to change. PLEASE HAVE YOUR ORDER CONFIRMED BEFORE SENDING PAYMENT. I will verify (as soon as possible) what is available and what is not (due to prior sale, etc) and I will quote you a total amount due. Items are held (up to ten days while awaiting payment) for firm orders only. GRADING: Fine is my highest grade for a used book. Near Fine is better than VG+. Specific flaws (remainder marks, owner names, price clipped Dust Wrappers, etc) are noted whenever possible. New means as received from the publisher (with or without manufacturing/shipping flaws) and is not a grade. Limited Editions: "1/xxx numbered copies" means that the copy could be any numbered copy out of the run of xxx, not that it is the specific copy numbered #1 from the run of xxx. (Were the latter the case, the item would have been described as being "copy #1/xxx numbered copies"). Similarly for "A random number from among xxx numbered copies". (In either situation, if needed, the specific copy number is available upon request). SHIPPING / INSURANCE / AND HANDLING: US Customers: Minimum charges are (with insurance included): $5.00 for the first item plus $1.50 for each additional item, or (sent not insured at your request): $4.00 for the first item plus $1.50 for each additional item. However, bulky/heavy items and/or orders insured for more than $50 may require a higher charge. My normal shipping method is USPS media mail/insured, but if some other arrangement would be preferred, for example USPS priority mail/insured (including flat rate envelopes for appropriately sized items), please inquire as to availability/price. Non-US customers: Inquire but please specify whether or not you want the order insured. (Insurance may not be available for some orders either in whole or in part, or may require a more expensive shipping method than non-insured orders). NB: On May 14th 2007 the USPS did away with all surface mailing options, and also reclassified and substantially raised the rates of its air options.) All customers: Insured orders will be covered for loss or damage in transit, but only subject to the terms, conditions, and limits set by the carrier (for example, USPS). Other Worlds will not be liable to any customer for any loss or damage in transit for any un-insured order, nor for any portion of any order that is not insured. Any such un-insured order, or un-insured portion of any order, is sent entirely at the risk of the customer. RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS [and/or orders drop shipped within Rhode Island]: Please add 7% sales tax (or if you are a Rhode Island based dealer, supply a valid resale number on a signed/completed copy of the appropriate Rhode Island sales tax form). TELEPHONE CALLS: Please restrict all calls to between Noon and 10:00PM my time: 401-353-2106. If my wife (Catherine) answers, she will be glad to take your message. If neither of us is home, or if the line is busy, a password protected answering machine is available. (If you leave a message, please be as detailed as practical, and please include your email address, if you have one). Other Worlds ceased being an open shop in 1999. Regretfully, personal visits (to browse the inventory, pick up orders, etc) are no longer practical. TYPES OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED: UNITED STATES BASED CUSTOMERS: All prices/payment in US dollars. Orders paid by check may be held until such checks are known to have cleared the banking system. Credit cards and/or PayPal accepted as payment only on orders paid for through Biblio.com. Other Worlds does not directly accept credit cards and/or PayPal as payment. NON-UNITED STATES BASED CUSTOMERS: All prices/payment in US dollars. If you can arrange payment directly [not just counter-drawn] from a US based source, then you can pay as above. Otherwise: Canadian and Japanese postal system money orders that are denominated in US dollars are also acceptable. (If you are in another country that can also issue postal system money orders denominated in US dollars, please let me know and I will check into whether or not I can accept them, and then advise you back). Western Union money orders denominated in US dollars, if they are mailed directly to me, are acceptable. Western Union US dollar denominated money transfers (electronic/money orders) through a local Western Union office are also acceptable. HOWEVER, there will be a US$10 surcharge (per order, not per item) to cover the extra time and travel involved in retrieving such payments. If you will be paying by this method, please let me know ahead of time, so that I can quote the correct total amount that would be due. Any other non-US check or money order, even if denominated in US dollars and counter-drawn on a US institution, (or any other type of bank instrument, such as a wire transfer) would not be acceptable [due to uncertainty over the possibility/amount of any associated clearing/collection fees]. You can also send US currency, although I do not advise doing so due to possible loss/theft in transit. Credit cards and/or PayPal accepted as payment only on orders paid for through Biblio.com. Other Worlds does not directly accept credit cards and/or PayPal as payment. RETURN POLICY: Returns are allowed within five days of receipt for any reason with only one restriction: any returned items must be received back in the same condition as when they were originally sent by Other Worlds. Items damaged in transit---in either direction---will not be accepted for return. Refunds for returned items will exclude all shipping/insurance/and handling charges unless Other Worlds agrees that the items were substantially not as originally described.
