At the end of the book are 7 pages of "Notes on Various Editions of 'The Coquette' ", a novel based on the life & death of Elizabeth Whitman. Binding is sound, though slightly slanted; boards have minimal toning at top, but are clean; spine top & base rubbed, top corners of boards worn. A few pages have small tears in the margin from injudicious initial page opening. Toning to first & last few pages, & lightly to margins throughout. Ink name to front endpaper. Otherwise unmarked & clean in & out. . Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Octavo.
