Description

Philadelphia: William H. Horstmann and Sons, 1851. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. 13 pp + (25) plates. 11 plates are colored. Ex-library, with usual markings, rebound in blue library binding cloth. Title page chipped, with several closed tears. Subsequent page also has several closed tears, and a small section missing from bottom corner. Each plate contains a small, but distinct library ownership stamp to the corner of each illustration, reading "Brooklyn Public Library". Each plate is hand-officialized with the inscription: "Official: R. Jones Adjut. Genl. Washington, June, 1857. Tipped in supplement to cancel stub of Harper's Weekly, October 11th, 1902. Folio.
