Book summary

A killer stalks two psychics posing as husband and wife in this suspenseful paranormal romance set in the Victorian era. Lonely spinster photographer Venetia Milton decides to seduce her employer, Gabriel Jones, who has hired her to take pictures of the objects belonging to a mysterious group founded by his alchemist ancestor. Not long after she completes both jobs, Venetia grieves to learn of Gabriel's death. She also sees it as an opportunity; pretending to be Gabriel's widow allows "Mrs. Jones" to open a gallery, something no respectable single woman could do. Her new role becomes more complicated when she discovers that Gabriel remains among the living.
