Book summary

Charlotte Arkendale has a thriving business as a private investigator. Her specialty--delving into the backgrounds and bank accounts of prospective husbands--is much in demand by calculated brides-to-be. When one of her clients is murdered, Charlotte looks for the killer with the help of Baxter St. Ives, a hired-worker who has concealed his own reasons for wanting to find the murderer.
