Book desription: London, T.Fisher Unwin 1892 FIRST EDITION, Arthur Symons' copy. Small octavo, with frontispiece illustration (Cuchullain Fighting the Waves) by J.T.Nettleship. Original white paper-backed green boards with yapp edges. Shows some handling and wear, but generally a very good copy (for such a delicate binding). Later bookplate to pastedown. Inscription of author Arthur Symons to flyleaf; 'The visionary ecstasy in this Drama is finely embodied in persons whose actions is indeed largely a spiritual action, but which has the lyrical movement of great drama. Here is poetry which is not only heard, but seen; forming a picture not less moving than music. Arthur Symons'. Yeats met Symons in the 1890s and the freindship was highly important to both.
