Book description: New York: Oxford University, 1988 This play is the sixth and last,of a planned eleven plays about the Harford family, and he died before it was totally completed. It was first published without the additional material which he intended to insert. It was printed from the typescript in the possession of the Yale University Beinecke Rare Book library. The editor, Martha Gilman Bower, believes that this play is closer to the real O'Neill than the so-called "autobiographical plays". It is, as issued, clean and opens as if never read.
