Book Description
London: printed for D. Browne, at the Black-Swan without Temple-Bar; and T. Woodman, in Russel-Street, Covent-Garden, 1732. 1st edition. Modern full leather binding. V.g. /No Jacket. Rebound by Paul Delrue in modern full leather. Title page spotted, stain to part of fore-edge, pages 140-180 wormed at margin (not unattractively). viii, 188, (10) pp. of index, 2 pages of publisher's advertisements at end. This new volume was issued along with the 6th edition of Part 1 of "The country housewife and lady's director" and is often found bound in with it. This is a rare example of a separately bound copy with the black ink title page. It was one of the last books to be published in Bradley's lifetime, and shows some signs of incapacity in the way it is put together. Edmondson 84.
