Book desription: Arbor House, 1982-08-02. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. Signed. Signed first edition/first printing of one of our favorite Block Matthew Scudder mysteries. The front board corners are lightly jammed and the spine ends are softened, and the page block is somewhat rippled, as if the book were left standing open for a couple months. Also, an early reader had the extremely annoying habit of drawing a line in ballpoint pen to the left of lines of text at random throughout the book. It looks like someone started to erase these marks and gave up. The interior goes along fine for 20-30 pages and then you hit a run of pages that are just grubby. The dustwrapper is great - complete, bright and with the faintest of shelfwear. Signed by Mr.Block on the title page. All of our first editions are first printings. Dustwrappers are protected with clear archival wraps. We ship via UPS whenever possible - please select 'expedited' shipping.
