Some chapters are for example: 'The Building of the Earth'; 'Records Left by the Sea'; 'The Earth as the Abode of Life'; 'Earthquakes in Geology'; 'Families of Rocks and their Descendants'; 'The Age of Reptiles'; 'The Chalk Period'; 'The Age of Mammals'; and 'The Kingdom of Man'. Blue cloth boards with very attractive, decorative front board with gilt, showing 'Dragons of the Prime'. Decorative spine as well, but gilt areas are somewhat faded. Slight fading to part of rear board. Prize label and small college stamp to front paste down, although no other markings. Some browing to both front and rear free endpapers. Minor rubbing to corners and top of spine. Contents clean. Overall, a very nice copy in Very Good condition. An uncommon title. .
