Book desription: Boston, MA: Roberts Brothers, 1892. 288pp., tissue-guarded, b/white, art-illustrated (Jessie McDermott) frontispiece, plus an unpaginated publisher's promotional section at rear (variously illustrated by Addie Ledyard, Mary A. Hallock, Ellen Oakford, Jessie McDermott, A.G.Plympton, and others). Book clean. Lightly shaken spine, nominally cocked. Decorated ochre cloth boards frayed on foredge corners, plus head and heel of gilt titled backstrip. General colour flecking and abrading. Black endpapers, a name (written in black) on front pastedown. Text-block randomly splotched and finger-marked. Rear free endpapers mildly creased.
