Book description: London: George Routledge & Sons. NF/VG [1890]. 1st Edition. Hardcover; 1st Printing. 1st edition/1st printing. Charming miniature book, in its original dustjacket. The book is bound with a yellow cloth spine with Greenaway color illustrated boards. The dustjacket is plain beige paper, with 'Kate Greenaway's Almanack for 1891' printed vertically in brown on the front cover. The book has 22 pages (front and back of sheets) of color illustrations, plus the half-title page, plus the printer's colophon page at the rear (stating: London, Engraved & Printed at Racquet Court, by Edmund Evans), plus end pages. The book is skewed just a tiny bit so that the rear board rises slightly higher than the front one, but is otherwise in excellent condition: clean, tight, unfaded, no previous owner marks or soiling. The dustjacket has some edgewear consisting of a couple of closed edge tears and a few small edge chips, plus a trace of green from the rear end page on the back flap, a tiny chip mid-spine, and a few small, faint handling smudges. It also has 2 words written (small handwriting) upper back panel which are, I believe, 'From AAG' (or ANG). The dustjacket is now protected by a piece of clear mylar which has been cut to fit it (removable, of course). The contents are the months, plus the seasons, plus an extra three illustrations without captions. A lovely little book! ; 4" x 3"; 24 pages .
