First Guideposts edition of this sequel to Paul Faber and Thomas Wingfold. This is one of the few novels that has a bookbinder as the central character. Richard Letrange, the unacknowledged son of a Baronet, unknowingly is raised by his uncle the bookbinder, to be a binder himself, and only years later discovers his true parentage. Of particular interest are the socialist overtones, and the dream sequences.
