Book desription: London: Oliphants Ltd., 1955. 96pp., colour-plate frontispiece (Wardill). Book clean. Spine firm. Blind-stamped publisher's device and border on front board. Minimally bumped head and heel of backstrip. Original supplier's sticker affixed to front pastedown (offset ghost on ffep.) plus a hand-written Sunday School presentation inscription, dated 1956, on same. Random acidic (brown) splotches throughout. Art-illustrated (Wardill, as frontis), loose-plastic protected dustjacket edgeworn and nipped, price-clipped and several closed and jagged tears. This quite scarce title, particularly in jacket, by Elinor Brent-Dyer (1894-1969), finds Beechy turning to her Christian faith during her first term at the Harbour School. Life would have been very pleasant had it not been for Olive, who was constantly causing trouble . . . The story is told over eight chapters. Book weight approx. 300g.
