Book desription: Paris: E. Froment, 1893 61pp: Two piano solo suites by Claude Terrasse with title illustrations by Pierre Bonnard. Terrasse was Bonnard's brother-in-law (the husband of Bonnard's sister Andree), and the families were close, as evident in Bonnard's painting "La Familie Terrasse" (1902). The suites published here are the 15 short piano pieces of the Petites scenes familieres, and the 4 pieces of La fete au village; each of the 19 has a lithographic title illustration by Bonnard. The two sets, originally issued in paper covers, have been recased in red half-calf over red cloth with a red calf label on the top board. This copy is SIGNED BY CLAUDE TERRASSE on the title page, an inscription (a mon vieux comarade et excellent ami, cordial sourvenirs). Small chips missing at the edges of some pages but internals free of marks, bookplates or other signatures. . Signed. First Edition. Modern Half Calf. Fine.

State sales tax of 5% will be added on shipments within Virginia. Any book or artwork may be returned for any reason within a reasonable period (two weeks) for a full refund, assuming the item returns in the same condition as sent. If the return is because of an error on our part, we, of course, pay the postage as well. We normally send books and artwork through the US Postal System but are happy to use UPS, FedEx or other commercial services if the customer prefers. Shipments which are over $500 in value will be insured; insurance on other shipments is at the customer's discretion. International Orders: We use the US Postal Service concessionary priority post rates where possible. These rates are not available to all countries, and we do not guarantee international shipments to certain countries unless shipped by commercial courier with tracking numbers. Please enquire.
