With several essays about Polke and his art, a biography of the artist, an exhibition history, selected reviews of his exhibitions, a bibliography, and numerous color plates showing Polke's work. This copy signed and inscribed by Polke on the half title page. Polke was an important German Pop artist. With gerhard Richter he formulated a Pop inspired "Capital Realist" anti-style of art, appropriating the pictorial short-hand of advertising.
