(Cloth somewhat thumbed along edges and spine.) Internally a fine copy. First edition. Bentwich's work is of the nature of historical geography, touching upon the evolution of the Jewish people at various periods. Dealing with the country in its historical aspects, he dedicates one part of the book to Jerusalem, and one to describe parts of Palestine. The third part is concerned with the surrounding lands in their relation with Palestine and the Bible. .
