FIRST EDITION.Publishers presentation copy with their blind stamp-Presentation Copy- to the top of the title page.Previous owners bookplate to front paste down endpaper.Front panel portrait of Churchill from the very rare original dustwrapper has been mounted onto the rear paste down endpaper.Small (just under 1 inch) closed tear,without loss to the for edge of the first 8 leaves,staring at the half title.Some light foxing to the first and last few pages and to the fore edge but generally a clean copy in publishers original plum coloured cloth.Gilt facsimile of Churchill's signature on front board.Spine lettered in gilt.The spine has darkened but the lettering is still very readable and there are three small stains to the bottom third.Overall a near very good copy of this uncommon book with part of the very rare dustwrapper as a bonus.:
