Bound in red cloth with illustration of naval officer and rating in black to top board. Small chip to fore edge of frontispiece; last leaf glued, at edge, to rear pastedown. Age toning and light soiling to edges of test block; a little foxing to edges of first and last leaves. Dust jacket has one-inch tear to bottom of front flap-fold; one-inch tear to bottom edge of front panel; one-inch tears to top and bottom edges of rear panel ; light foxing to front flap. Copyright ( to copyright page) 1937, with small gift inscription to same page dated 1940. No other dates present but it would appear that there were early editions ( 1926?) also published by McLoughlin and Milton Bradley. The adventures of a young naval officer in the China Sea..
