Toronto: Thomas Allen, Limited, 1962 Hard Cover. Presumed First Edition. 8 1/4 x 6 1/4", 160pp. The "Dale of the Mounted" series by Joe Holliday was enormously popular. The author researched his books better than most of the genre's auth ors. This particular book although fictional is nicely set in Hong Kong where Holliday spent considereable time with the Hong Kong Police Force and witnessed first-hand, their operation on land, in t h e marine section and in the laboratory. Begins as one would expect however, in Canada. Binding is bright red, pebbled paper on board in near mint cond. Lettering on front cover and spine, is dk blu e . Lovely cond. Endpapers are white; sticker pull on upper right corner. Text is in perfect cond. Entire book is bright, tight and clean. A handsome copy. Overall cond. v. good.. F.
