The illustrations are white and various shades of blue - exquisitely done. This is a science book, but the cozy log cabins, blanketed in snow pictures beg for story-telling, as do the artists winsome snowmen and snowplows. The chapter entitled Windowpane Frost is both informative and poetic. An ex-lib copy, it has several discard stamps (small print) on the front and rear endpapers. Also, one on the title page. Card pocket remains on endpaper. Light library numbers on spine. Illus t of snowflakes and title: snow pasted on to front blue-cloth on boards binding. Very nice cond. Paper paste-on has no scratches. REar cover has rubbing and scuff marks. Spine has small tears top and bottom. Tightly bound, and very clean. A lovely book. Overall cond: good - v. good.. F.
