Book desription: Toronto: Thomas Allen, Ltd, 1958, 1958 HC and DJ. Presumed First. 8 1/4 x 6 1/4. 157 pp. A book for boys and girls. A follow up to Dale of the Mounted. Dale is involved in a manhunt that start at the Calgary Stampede and takes Dales to nor thern woods and into Saskatchewan and Manitoba and to the Northwest Territory. The DJ on this book is in bad shape. A large ship from back - 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" . It has several tears and a few little chi ps from the edges and the edge of the cover fold front. Moisture stain on back cover top. The mouth of the MOuntie on the cover has been scratched out and the insignia on the door has been scratched o ut as well. Seems like someone had a bit of a problem! Former owner's name in Pencil on endpaper. Some coffee spots to bottom of pages' edge side. The red textured paper on boards binding is still ver y nice. Perhaps the book would look better without the dj. The text is clean with just the odd finger crinkle. Overall cond: DJ: poor-fair, Text and Binding: fair - good..
