Book desription: N.Y.: Morgan & Morgan, Inc. 1969 HC and DJ. First. 8 1/2 x 5 3/4. 301 pp + references and index. The Study of Tone Reproduction. Explains: No developer can increase the ASA speed of a film; a film can have high resolving power and gi ve unsharp images; once your negative has been underexposed, there is nothing that can be done about it; Overexposure can cause a decrease in density;; the dynamic range of a print material is about h alf that of an outdoor scene on the average, and only a tenth of a contrasty scene. DJ has seen some wear-has some soiling and a few tears to edges and edge wear, a sticker pull to top corner- also lo oks like it has some moisture damage. Orange binding has corner bumps but is in good shape. Endpapers have former owner's name printed in pen. Text is clean and unmarked. DJ cond: fair-good. Bood cond : good+.
