DescriptionLondon: Methuen & Co, 1924 Published in December 1924 by Methuen, one month after the first edition, this is an extremely attractive example in its original dust jacket. The dust jacket is in Good condition being mostly complete but with losses to the corners and to the top and bottom of the spine; darkening to the spine; and with marks to the front and back boards. Nevertheless, the dust jacket is mostly complete and still very attractive, and is now encased in a removable protective clear film wrapper. We have photographs, please ask. The original publisher's blue boards have the gilt decoration to the front and gilt titling to the spine; and if it were not for the slight fraying to the top and bottom of the spine we would rate the boards as being Near Fine to Fine. As it is we must rate as Very Good - but the boards for this rare book are simply stunning. There are 99 numbered pages, top edge gilt, a name and date 1926 in a neat hand to the top of the Half Title Page, with all pages being very tightly bound in (slight crack between pages 48 and 49 and 64 and 65 - but nothing serious) A really beautiful example complete with dust jacket and in its original condition.
