Norwegian folk tales, from "Norske Folkeeventyr" by Peter Christen Asbjornsen and Jorgen Engebretsen Moe, translated into English ("Prince Lindworm" newly translated for this volume), originally selected by George Webbe Dasent. -- Includes 25 color mounted plates by Kay Nielsen, plus many in-text black-and-white drawings and designs. 204 pages. -- Hardcover, yellow cloth with red lettering, decorated endsheets. Condition: overall very good minus: front hinge cracked; damp-stain at corner including cover and page margins (about 1/2-inch) and showing at about 1/3 of fore-edge; owner name and little poem in pencil; four of the plates show small amount of foxing or faint stain, others are near fine. .
