Book summary

Born with cystic fibrosis, Laura Rothenberg had to struggle not only to breathe but to live a relatively normal life. A lifelong diarist, at age 21 she drew on her experiences over many years to provide a portrait of someone who not only lived with a debilitating disease but learned from it. Rothenberg did not survive to see her book published: she died on March 20, 2003, at 22.
