Book summary

A member of the radical organization the Weather Underground, Cathy Wilkerson nearly lost her life in the famous Greenwich Village bomb factory explosion of March, 1970. After years on the run, she turned herself in and accepted the consequences of her actions. Eventually, she became a schoolteacher. In this memoir, Wilkerson recounts those days of rage, telling how her idealism somehow got channeled into rage and terror. She candidly reflects on the person she was then, and the person she is now, as she provides a fascinating insider's view of '60s history, including the conflict between feminism and the Weather Underground.
