Book summary

Christopher, a troubled teenager, disappears. As his parents, Nan and Hal (who do not live together, and both of whom are gay), cope with his absence and attempt to track him down, they reveal their own problems and insecurities. And in the background is the searching sensibility of Christopher himself, trying to find out who he is and what he wants.
