Hardcover. 12mo - 17.5 x 12.5 cm.; 289 pp. Light blue linen cloth over boards with black lettering on spine and front board. Adapted from the original German by Joseph Leftwich. This edition was first published in 1956 and this is the second printing from 1961. Lehmann (1831 - 1890) published a series called "Past and Present", Jewish history in novel form between 1872 and 1886. This volume was part of that series. The book itself shows very minor shelf wear on the board edges and corners while the dust jacket is worn on the edges and scuffed. .
