Minor shelf/edge wear, three small closed tears at/near the "tongue", light rubbing, very minor glue toning at rear wraps, light ghosting at frontispiece, else tight, bright and unmarred. Full black leather binding, wrap-around to fore-edge with tongue to close, gilt lettering and decorative elements, two frontispieces, aeg. 32mo. 852pp; 259pp. Illus. (b/w plates). The Everlasting Gospel" [1843] and "The Repose in Egypt". This edition not listed in American Imprints. Overall, a very handsome copy of this rather scarce edition.
