Book desription: Clock House, Peterborough, Ontario, 1977.. 128 pp, 11" H, soft cover (stapled in wraps). Profusely illustrated with b&w drawings. "This book is a collection of reprints from the 1888 catalogue of the Toronto Silver Plate Company. (The compilers) purchased a scrap book from the late Charle. s Williamson, some of the pieces pasted in were loose and (they) realized the book was, in fact, an old catalogue. As many pages as possible were salvaged by patiently soaking them in warm water....Unfortunately, (they) were not able to retrieve a. l l of the catalogue. The flat ware section was battered and in the worst state of repair, therefore, very little is shown in this reprint. The original size of the book was 14 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches. This (was) reduced by omitting the decor. at ive borders. (They did not change) the size of the pictures, merely rearranged some to fit the smaller format." Interior - small crease and soft bump to bottom corner of first few pages, small area of foxing on first two pages, previous owner's. na mes on title page, faint cigarette odor, otherwise clean and tight with no other ownership marks. Exterior - tiny foxing mark on top of text block along with light browning, very light edge wear, crease at bottom corner of front cover. Very Go. od.
