Hardcover, contemporary half cloth and marbled boards, spine gilt. Reading copy only. (Textual part is in a very good condition with some old institutional stamps and markings. Folding plates are in poor condition, torn, repaired.) First edition. A remarkably detailed study on the construction of horse-drawn carts in military use. Probably the last such treatise to be written on the subject. Very scarce. .
