This is the complete 12-volume set of memoirs of the man known as the World's Greatest Lover; This is a fantastic set that was printed for subscribers only, and was limited to 1000 sets. Although many of the sets had a number associated with them, this one does not, but does have the corresponding wording that it is part of the 1000; The type used is derived from a 15th century Italian handwrought face and the paper was specially made and watermarked to reproduce an early Italian handmade paper; The decorations on the endpapers are taken from a 15th century woodcut map of Venice; Each volume has a drawing by Rockwell Kent, protected with a glassine page, and accompanied by a portion of the text; This set is in such fantastic condition for its age that I almost labeled it Fine, but decided there's a little too much edgewear (including frayed spine caps) to deserve that rating. However, even that isn't bad; The pages are yellowed, but all are tight and clean, and I could find no tears; Volume 7 has some pages with wrinkles in the upper right corner; Truly an exceptional set throughout; Additional shipping charges may apply; Shipped Weight: over 6 pounds.
