The First American Edition, bound in the publisher’s blue cloth, cover lettering and decoration and spine in gilt, pictorial endpapers. With sixteen color illustrations by Kay Nielsen. This is Very Near Fine copy (but for very minor, minor wear to the extremities and some dulling to the gilt) in a Very Near Fine dust jacket (with only a touch of wear and some fading to the spine). Along with Rackram and Dulac, Kay Nielsen was one of the most significant early 20th Century illustrators who did some of his best work for this book. The illustrations are indeed beautiful. A very nice copy indeed.
