The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway, Ernest
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1926. Near Fine/very good. Copyright 1926 (later reprint edition) by Grosset & Dunlap. The front board is blindstamped around the border, with a mauve sun device stamped on the upper front cover. The spine has the title, author (Hemingway misspelled "Hemmingway") and publisher in matching mauve print. The book has very slight rubbing to the head and tail of the spine (with no loss) and very slight rubbing to the board's rather sharp corners. The alluring dustjacket shows an attractive woman in profile, seated and wearing bright lipstick. The very good jacket has chipping to the head and heel of the spine (not affecting the title or publisher's name) and at each corner with a small chip at the base , with toning to the spine and short tears on the upper jacket folds. This issue is rather scarce in this condition and with this nice of a dustjacket. Photos available upon request.
