Book desription: London: Macmillan & Company, 1887. First edition. Very Good ++ to Near Fine. This is the second printing of the first publicly available edition (after the private edition, of which very few copies are known, published in 1886 and suppressed in that same year at Dodgson's direction) with the book, envelope and card all dated 1887. The book is in Very Good+ to Near Fine condition (with general soiling to the boards and a prior owner's information neatly written on the ffep). The envelope is complete (with some handling soil), but the fold at the top has a split in it. The card has a few small notations neatly written by a prior owner. Unlike most copies found, this copy is a complete copy and has a laid in envelope containing the logic game with the game board and all nine counters. It is extremely rare to find the book and contents complete (as here) -- many copies have lost one or more of the original counters.
