Book desription: London: Herbert Jenkins, 1932. Bound in the publishers bright orange cloth hard boards with contrasting black title lettering to spine and front board. Another splendid long story by the National Humourist ! This is the second printing completing 40,000 copies and this is duly stated on the verso of the title page. All pages are present and correct with no inscriptions and are tightly bound. Book sits solid and square with no hinge weakness and all corners sharp. A particularly fine copy inside and out. Housed in the very scarce, wonderfully illustrated thirties period dustwrapper with the green label price of 2/6 to the spine. Humourous and vibrant. Aside from light wear to the head and heel of spine the dustwrapper remains wholly intact with unusually, no loss. All colours remain bright and vivid. Light signs of handling. A most eyecatching example of the original dustwrapper. Photographs of the book and the dustwrapper are available on request. Early reprints with complete and original dustwrappers such as this are extremely rare particularly the first reprint. A delectable Wodehouse classic !. First Edition. Fine/Very Good.
