Harper & Brothers, Publishers, New York, 1849. First American Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/None Issued. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. This is a mixed set of the First American Edition with Volume I being three quarters gilt stamped leather and black pebbled cloth over boards, and the second volume green gilt stamped and blind stamped cloth over boards. Volume I has marbled endpapers, XII + 13-365 four; Volume II has yellow glossy endpapers, XII + 9-387 pp. + 8 pp. advertisements. Leather along side of spine of Volume I is worn, pages lightly toned; otherwise interior is clean with no writing, marks or foxing, and the binding is sound. Volume II is bumped with somewhere ahead of the spine, foxing on endpapers, interior pages lightly toned; otherwise, interior is clean with no writing, marks or foxing, and the binding is sound.
