Book desription: Ewing's Lady by Harry Leon Wilson. This edition copyright 1907.Please note this is not the more recent 2008 hardcover edition of this title pub. by Kennsington. This is the original and almost impossible to find 1907 edition, a probable first edition of this work, a rare edition. It doesn't state first edition. However, the only copyright date present is 1907. The copyright date is also published bottom of full title page. And the publisher of this original edition is D. Appleton and Co., with the publisher's name also published both on copyright page and bottom of full title page. In addition, at bottom of copyright page it reads Published, November, 1907 and at top of copyright page it reads Copyright 1907 by D. Appleton and Co., followed by Copyright 1907 by Ainslee Magazine Co. Dedication page reads simply To N.B.T. Hardcover, no dustjacket. Pictorial boards are still intact but have some fading, some scuffing, some wear and tear, spine has wear, intact but faded. Spine has wear and tear, but is intact and boards are still intact and attached but spine does have some give to it due to a little bit of damage inside front cover, some more damage inside back cover (see one of the photos of this), but between pages 24 and 25, while all pages are still intact there is a lot of obvious damage at inside binding there as well as some a little damage to inside binding here and there inside book. However, all pages are still intact. Pages are intact, there are a few small smudges here and there and small tears here and there at page edges, but pages are intact and clean and all text very easily readable. On random pages at the bottom of the page, there are, aside from the page numbers, some small numbers published as well at bottom of different pages and near spine. This does not occur on every page. For instance, at the bottom of page 9 there is also a 2 published there. The next page to have such a number is page 25 with a small 8 also published at the bottom of that page. Next is page 41 with a small 4 published as well at bottom of page (all page numbers are published at bottom of pages). Page 57 also has small page 5 at published bottom of page. Page 73 a small 6. Page 89 a 7. Pg. 105 another 8. Ps. 121 a 9. Pg. 137 a 10, and so on consecutively now until page 305 that has a small 21 published at bottom of that page as well as page number. On very last story page there is near spine at at bottom of page a (1), denoting first edition. Since there is no printing # given or printing # line, I assume this is also first print. The last story page is followed by a blank page and then the next page on front and back has advertisement for 2 different other books. This is followed by another blank page. This is NOT ex-library. Inside back cover at top there is a small penned notation, there looks to be some mild past water damage inside back cover at binding but it is mild and there is no musty smell. On endpapers looks there is a little creasing at outer corners and looks like some penciled small notations have been erased at one time. Book does show some obvious wear, the damage inside back cover and at inside binding creates some give to spine. Book is lightly but obviously bowed and creates a slant to book. Does look a bit worn, but still a solid copy. It could use some obvious repair, but boards, although they have wear and tear, are still intact, spine still intact, pages still all intact and clean overall. All pages have clean text and pages are all easily readable. Good as it is now for sound collectible reading copy of rare extremely hard to find 1907 edition of this title.
