Book summary

Don Zimmer was a player for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955 and a New York Yankee coach in 1999 (when he ran the team while Manager Joe Torre was hospitalized). In between he suffered numerous injuries, spent time in the minors, was hired and fired as manager and coach of several teams, won and lost championships, and showed many younger players how to really play the game. His colorful life, and some of his unorthodox strategies, are recalled in this sports memoir.
