Book desription: Manchester: Albert Sutton.. pp: [2], 90. Bound in black, pebbled cloth. titled in gilt to the top board and blind ruled to both boards. Worn to bottom edge and to extremities. Fading to areas adjacent to spine. Unfortunately the book is lacking the spine, however this has not destroyed its overall integrity.. Owner's name ( a Standish from Toronto) to front pastedown, and dated 1910. Published in 1898 ( from another source) and numbered # 63 of 110 copies. I would assume from the very limited print run that this was privately printed, and that the Albert Sutton I have quoted as publisher may in fact be just the printer, with Earwaker as the actual publisher. These deeds which number 55 appear to be only a small portion of some 200 charters. The dates range from 1222, with most being from the reign of Edward III, 1327 - 1377. This is an important historical and genealogical instrument inasmuch as these deeds are also relative to Myles Standish of Mayflower fame.. Limited/Numbered First Edition.. Cloth, Gilt Lettering..
