Book desription: Batsford, London. Printed by The Essex House Press, Norman Chapel, Broad Campden 1909. Limited Edition 140/200. Signed and numbered by C. R. Ashbee. 100 Lithograph Plates, hand coloured in part. 34 pages with an essay by Ashbee and a descriptive index of the plates. Book Condition: Very Good, green cloth with a paper label to the spine, the boards are a little dulled and the title label rubbed. Plate I is browned and there is some very occasional foxing to other pages, otherwise the contents are very clean indeed. [This is the rare limited edition, signed by Robert Ashbee who was the founder of the Guild of Handicrafts, located in Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds. The guild designed and made metalwork and jewelry, most of its designs by C. R. Ashbee, other members included G. Hart, F Partridge, J Pearson & J Williams. The Guild of Handicrafts 1888-1907].
