Large quarto (10 3/4 x 8 7/8 inches; 273 x 226 mm.). xii, 125, [1] pp. Color frontispiece and forty-nine color plates (collected at the end of the text) mounted on heavy brown paper, with descriptive tissue guards. Four black and white drawings (two on title and one each on p. 1 and p. 14). Original vellum over boards pictorially stamped and lettered in gilt on front cover and spine, original silk ties. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Endpapers of same heavy brown paper with map of Kensington Gardens on front free endpaper. A little bowed. Some expected vellum discoloration but a very good, clean and bright copy.Laid in to this copy is an original sketch of what appears to be a kabuki-like mask by Rackham and signed by him below.
